I design work that earns attention without asking for it. Editorial design, branding, and creative partnership.

MARK STEWART

Welcome. I'm Mark Stewart, an Art Director and Graphic Designer based in Abbotsford, BC. I take the ramblings, the bits and bobs, the half-formed briefs and the big ambitious ideas and make them into something clear, compelling, and worth looking at.

I work best when curiosity and questions lead the way and ideas can be tested and pushed. Whether that's a full creative team or just a good conversation with a colleague before the work goes out the door.

Outside of work you'll find me on a trail with my family, pitching another business idea to my very patient wife, or planning the next camping trip.

Area of focus

PUBLICATION DESIGN

This is where most of my time has been spent and where I feel most at home. Donor magazines, direct mail, annual reports, gift catalogues. I care about the details that most people never notice and the ones that make everything land.

BRAND IDENTITY

A good brand is clear about what it is and confident enough not to over-explain. I've built identities from the ground up, from naming and positioning through to logo, colour, type, and the rules that hold it all together.

ART DIRECTION

The part of the job where you stop making and start deciding. What does this need to say, how should it feel, and is this the right idea. I've led creative across print and digital, working alongside writers, photographers, and strategists to get the work where it needs to go.
